[1] In Spain there are autonomous regions with one or more languages than just Spanish. For example: In the Comunidad Valenciana there is Spanish and Valenciano. Valenciano is a dialect of Catalan.
[2] Of course, there is no autonomous language. The word comes from the Spanish word of „lengua autonómica“ and in the context of the question it is meant as one of the official languages, that is used beneath Spanish and to which often is referred to as regional language as well.
